Road To One Million
The first project of the Team Peri Foundation was to finish what Peri and her family started in 2009, a simple idea that it was time to give back to Chai Lifeline in some small way for all that they have done for our Team Peri family. As a Chai Lifeline Camp Simcha Special camper and participant of their services throughout her life, Peri was introduced at a very early age to the concept of no limitations, no boundaries, no fear, no trepidation, and an acceptance of living with a medical condition.
Looking back on Peri’s childhood, the one constant in the chaos of hospital stays, surgeries, and illnesses was always and will forever be the nonprofit Chai Lifeline. The organization supported Peri’s goals and dreams and so many others through Camp Simcha, holiday programs, Big Brothers and Big Sisters programs, insurance advocacy, and Wish at the Wall. For a child and their family fighting cancer or living with a severe medical illness like Peri, Chai Lifeline gives them the strength, support, and love that is very much needed, and reminds them that they are not alone on this journey.
Our Team Peri runners participated in marathons all around
the country. Several of our team members run, walk,
and crawl in the TCS New York City Marathon and
the Lifetime Miami Marathon/Half Marathon.
16 years of fundraising, 15 years of racing in
marathons - the members of Team Peri have
individually raised thousands of dollars since our
existence. As of January 2024, we have been able
to raise over One Million Dollars for Chai Lifeline
and have gained national media coverage.
